File:2010 FIFA World Cup finalists example 20100624.png listed for deletion
[edit]A file that you uploaded or altered, File:2010 FIFA World Cup finalists example 20100624.png, has been listed at Wikipedia:Files for deletion. Please see the discussion to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Cloudbound (talk) 18:25, 12 March 2012 (UTC)
The article Felix Francis has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Bgwhite (talk) 23:27, 7 May 2012 (UTC)
Bridge in html+css
[edit]I can't (mostly) get the printing to work any better than your example, but in goofing around with it to try to get something to work, I at least produced a cleaner, table-free version in modern HTML+CSS, which should be more maintainable for you. It's here - if you're interested, grab a copy now, because the site will go offline next week. Curiously the page break hints to work, quite acceptably, on IE10, but not on Firefox, Chrome, Safari, or Opera. -- Finlay McWalterჷTalk 23:14, 22 August 2012 (UTC)
Re: Templates
[edit]The standard way to show the use of a template is by using {{tl}}
or one of the variations thereof. ⁓ Hello71 13:59, 14 October 2012 (UTC)
The article Stacey Moseley has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Originally much longer, but trimmed down by another editor to remove copyvio. Prodding as she appears to be non-notable. Please note that even though listed on her Imdb bio page as "Producer" associated with Big Time Rush, this appears to be as an extra, playing the role of a producer (and not as the producer as I first thought).
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Bjelleklang - talk 11:10, 3 November 2012 (UTC)
You can remove this notice at any time.

[edit]Hello, I'm Biker Biker. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Geocaching, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Biker Biker (talk) 23:47, 28 February 2013 (UTC)
Irony
[edit]Hi. Since your "main contribution to wikipedia will be fixing others' spelling mistakes", I think it's crazy that I'm here to tell you that there's no such word as "permuation", which you wrote about 4 times in a thread on the Mathematics reference desk.
The word is permutation. Cheers. -- Jack of Oz [Talk] 11:34, 4 May 2013 (UTC)
Notification of automated file description generation
[edit]Your upload of File:Absch sports.jpg or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page.
This notification is placed on your talk page because a bot has identified you either as the uploader of the file, or as a contributor to its metadata. It would be appreciated if you could carefully review the information the bot added. To opt out of these notifications, please follow the instructions here. Thanks! Sorry
[edit]I started an AfD for an article that you began in 2005: it turns out that the brief media buzz surrounding her was based on lies from her publisher. All very unfortunate, but I felt you deserved to know. DS (talk) 04:10, 27 April 2014 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. [edit]I rolled the math ref desk back a few revisions, which included your response. The IP that posted it is WP:LTA/VXFC. They get a burr in their britches every so often and keep repeating the same question, and I and other folks will just revert it on sight. Unfortunately, you happened to answer before anyone got to it this time, so I hope you'll understand and don't mind. –Deacon Vorbis (carbon • videos) 11:44, 3 April 2019 (UTC)

[edit]Google Code-In 2019 is coming - please mentor some documentation tasks!
[edit]Hello,
Google Code-In, Google-organized contest in which the Wikimedia Foundation participates, starts in a few weeks. This contest is about taking high school students into the world of opensource. I'm sending you this message because you recently edited a documentation page at the English Wikipedia.
I would like to ask you to take part in Google Code-In as a mentor. That would mean to prepare at least one task (it can be documentation related, or something else - the other categories are Code, Design, Quality Assurance and Outreach) for the participants, and help the student to complete it. Please sign up at the contest page and send us your Google account address to google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org, so we can invite you in!
From my own experience, Google Code-In can be fun, you can make several new friends, attract new people to your wiki and make them part of your community.
If you have any questions, please let us know at google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org.
Thank you!
